Plant donations

You can make a huge contribution by donating spare seedlings (veg or flowers), unwanted perennials, and houseplants. Houseplants are always very popular at FONC but please wait until late April/early May to hand these over as we don't have anywhere frost-free to store them. Perennial cuttings and divisions are welcome all year round! 

Help out on the stall

Can you spare 2 hours to work on the stall? We need volunteers to help set up (and pack away) and to serve customers once the gates open at 11am.  At peak times, we like to have at least 6 people working on the stall, so that's a lot of volunteers...

Drivers

We always need volunteers to help transport the plants from the allotment site to Nunhead Cemetery on the day of the Open Day.  If you can drive (and own a car), please get in touch.

Friday Prep

The Friday before the big day is spent getting the plants ready; boxing them up and carrying out any last minute labelling and potting on. It's always a relaxing and enjoyable day. 

Help out in the SRA Plant Nursery in April and May

April and May are our busiest months and we can always do with some extra pairs of hands. You can do as much or as little as you want; add your name to the Polytunnel Opening/Closing rota or get more stuck in with pricking out and potting on.
